We’ve been tagged by eDragonu on a productivity meme. It’s a tough one to respond to since it’s been in the wilds a while. Not to mention just one tip? I’ve got a lot more than one.

Many people have responded on a runway style level.

Let’s move up to the 50,000ft view. To be productive can mean a lot of things. Productive for the day, productive for the project, productive for the year, productive to what ends? If you don’t know where you are going, are you really productive?

Know where you want to go so that all that productivity takes you to that place.

Note that the 50k view isn’t something that is generally concrete. It’s written in phrases, drawings, quotes, and thoughts. It’s where you dream and you let your desires come out. Like anything we do productively, if you don’t get it out of your head how will you ever manifest it? Once you get it out of your head you can start working on it.

You’ve got to think about big things while you’re doing small things so that all the small things go in the right direction.

Right! The 50.000 feets contexts is often the most ignored, but, in the end, the most important… It’s like obscuring the forest by the trees…
